… What could be better than to begin a morning in full form with pampering and energy received from a green smoothie! A classic breakfast doesn’t have even 10% of the nutrients that a green smoothie has, but instead many more unwanted calories!
But note that I recommend the smoothie and NOT the green juice because the squeezing process requires that certain parts of fruits and vegetables to be removed — pulp and fibers that are extremely beneficial for our health!
The fiber in fruits and vegetables give a feeling of fullness, remove toxins from the colon and maintain glycemic level low.
The energy provided by a green smoothie is one that supports the proper functioning of cells and organs, metabolic and detoxification processes.
One of my favorite combinations:
- 200ml water
- 2 celery
- 1 bunch parsley
- Half avocado
- 2cm ginger (optional, if you like)
- 2 pineapple slices (contains bromelain an enzyme that helps digest proteins.)
- 1 teaspoon Spiruline (read more about Spiruline benefits here!)
- For sweetening use stevia or honey to taste.
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Add all ingredients in the blender jar. Mix in the ingredients at the highest setting.
